The Brighton Marathon is now one of the UKs favourite 26.2-milers. It became the 12th largest European marathon in just six years, and attracts runners from all around the world. With unbeatable crowd support and amazing sea views, the Marathon is a truly unique running event, backgrounded by the cosmopolitan City of Brighton & Hove.
The first running of the race took place on 18th April 2010 and the tenth running of the race will take place on the 14th April 2019. The course bests for the men and women are well under 2:10 and 2:29, making it the second fastest marathon in the UK. It is also the second-largest marathon in the UK and twelfth largest in Europe.
Since its inauguration, the Brighton Marathon has dramatically developed to become the Brighton Marathon Weekend, comprising the Brighton Marathon, BM10k, Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races, and the Event Village.
