Crescent City Classic 10k

the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k road race is held in New Orleans on the Saturday before Easter Sunday each year. The Classic is locally produced by a not-for-profit 5013c entity, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation, and is a great way to get in shape while having fun! Both runners and walkers of all abilities are invited to participate in the race.

The Classic is both physically challenging and a great New Orleans tradition! The 10-kilometer course (6.2 miles) begins in Downtown New Orleans in front of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, runs participants through the French Quarter, and then all the way up beautiful Esplanade Avenue to New Orleans City Park.

During Easter weekend, the events surrounding the Crescent City Classic promise a jam-packed weekend. We host a two-day Health & Fitness Expo, which is free and open to the public, as well as throw one of the best post-race parties in road racing hosted by Michelob Ultra, and complete with live music and local creole cuisine!

  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Race is very well organized and I loved the experience. It's hard not to have a good time in NOLA and it's a great city to run in. The weather was good and the course was nice and flat. I would have maybe liked to have a few more turns instead of long stretches. Also, it would have been nice to have the water stations on both sides of the course instead of one, this did lead to a few bottlenecks.

Fun course. Very well organized. Wish the expo and after run party had more vendors. I definitely plan on heading back down next year.

I really enjoyed this race. I ran the five k on Saturday and the half marathon on Sunday! The roads that were chosen for the course we're not that great but the course was flat and shaded by the trees that lined the streets. The after party was fun but my only complaint is that the shuttle buses to get back to town were parked so far away from the finish line...we are already on tired legs and feet...please bring the shuttles a little bit closer to the finish. Besides that I give you an A for absolutely amazing race and a 100% for the volunteers and how everything was well stocked!!! Thanks!!!
