Set on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, athletes take on the 2019 Aquathlon Championships with the swim-run event at Black Mountain Peninsula. The event is also a World Qualification Event for the 2019 ITU World Aquathlon Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. The swim is held in a sheltered bay and the run includes rolling paths alongside the lake. The event includes a shorter option for those new to the sport and the TRYkids Aquathlon event for children at least 7 years old.

It's a great way to spend a Saturday evening with your friends and family. In 2019, the ACT Aquathlon Champs is held as part of the Capital Trilogy Triathlon weekend.

Lovely place to have a Aquathlon. The time of day was perfect. Lovely swim (only drawback - if any was the swimmers in the wave/s before coming around for their second lap merging with us female last wave at the first bouy). Not really a problem just a little more congested. Swim loved it ... run was great too. All other athletes and volunteers were very encouraging and supportive. Bravo ... great event. :)
