Cape York routes
EVENT ROUTE
Taking tourist and local residents concerns into consideration, both 42.2km and 21.1km events will start on the junction of Pajinka Back Road and Pajinka Road at 6am.
42km Marathon Route -
Participants will run from the starters arch just outside Bamaga Airport in a north westerly direction. Competitors will continue along Airport Road for approximately 10km. Competitors will u-turn at the Bamaga Police Station, then run the entire stretch of Pajnka Road, finishing on the beach adjacent to the most Northern Point of Australia, thus completing their 42.2km marathon.
21km Half Marathon Route -
Participants will run from the starters arch onto the existing 4WD track in a north easterly direction. Competitors will continue along Pajinka Road for 21km, where they will cross the finish line in the walking trails carpark. Competitors can take the walking track from the walking trail car park, and have their photo taken at the Northern Most Point of Australia.
