Down Under 135 is created by 4 mates who have shown and proven in its first 2 years that DU135 is one of the gnarliest, super demanding and extreme foot races offered anywhere in Australia. Covering 135 miles ( 217 km ) single stage non-stop from start to finish, competitors will adventure across the single trails of the Lerderderg and Wombat State Forests in Victoria located only 40km west of the Melbourne Airport and CBD.

Down Under 135 route
The Down Under 135 will start in a picnic ground on the outskirts of Bacchus Marsh Victoria.
Leaving the MacKenzie Flat picnic ground runners will make their way solo along the Lerdederg River as they enter through the gorge area to Mt Blackwood. The Lerderderg Gorge section will bite early with a series tough technical climbs and descents sapping even the most hardened runners on fresh legs, crews will not have car access to runners until 35 km mark due no access points. However there is 2 walk in points of 1.5km & 2.5km to small DU Hubs if your crew is super keen.
After Mt Blackwood the runners will drop back into the gorge onto technical single trail along the river to O'Briens Crossing (63 km) then on to the Great Dividing Trail (GDT) to the gold mining town of Blackwood (75 km).
The first of the large all access DU event hubs will be located at Lohs Lane Myrniong where crews and runners will have access to the aid station. Once athletes reach Mt Blackwood 1 pacer has the OPTION to join their runner.
Runners will then continue on the GDT through to Nolans Creek Picnic Ground 43 km en-route to Leonards Hill 108.5 km.
The 108.5 km return will have all original fully manned DU event hubs in place with unmanned water points to assist the weary
