Grapest 5km Run – Geelong routes

The course is off-road, along dusty and sometimes muddy tracks depending on the weather. Depending on the independent harvesting requirements of each vineyards, you may or may not be permitted to run/walk through the vines. If not, you'll be directed to the exterior ground surrounding the vines and vineyard property.

The 10km course is two laps of the 5km distance.

Raceday Logistics


13:00 - Check in and warm up. Please do not arrive after 13:00

14:00 - Event starts

18:30 - Event finishes.


Participants are required to bring the signed waiver with them to check in. You can download this form from the event website. Please note, if you fail to bring this with you, you will be unable to participate. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. Please bring confirmation of ticket or proof of purchase with you, along with your ID. You will then be given a wristband to confirm you have been registered on the day.

You must have a copy of your confirmation ticket or proof of purchase with you to check-in. An email copy on your phone is accepted. Present your confirmation email with your ID and a signed race waiver to the registration team to get your wristband

Kit List
  • ID, proof of purchase, signed waiver form for check in
  • $5 for the carpark
  • correct footwear to accommodate all terrains
  • wide brimmed hat or cap
  • sun protection
  • weather-appropriate clothing
  • sealed water, no more than 1.5L
  • cash for food, wine and merchandise

Food & Drink

We do not allow your to bring your own food to our events. Wineries provide food and drinks for you to purchase. We try our best to cater to all dietary needs, however we understand this is not always possible. Should this be the case, and you feel you need to bring your own food, please notifiy a member of staff at check-in.

Bag Drop

There is no bag drop for this event. Parking is close to the start line, so it is suggested you lock your possessions in your vehicle. There will be an envelope drop area where you can seal your driver's licence and car keys should you not wish to carry them with you on the route. This will be guarded but the organisers will not accept responsibility for any lost personal items.

Can I smoke?

Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas at every venue. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the entertainment area.

Where is lost property?

If you lose a personal item, report to the merchandise marquee. At the end of the evening, all remaining lost items will be disposed of due to the logistical difficulty of managing large amounts of lost property.

Can I bring an esky into the event?

Eskies are permitted, but they must only contain ice and no other beverages or food.

What are prohibited items?

  • Alcohol is prohibited, but will be available to purchase
  • Non-alcoholic drinks including juice, soft drinks, sports drinks, and water unless they are in sealed plastic bottles up to 1.5L in size.
  • Metal cutlery, including cheese knives.
  • Selfie and Go Pro sticks.
  • Aerosols, sunshades, tents and tables.
  • Umbrellas, even if it’s raining. Bring good quality raincoats and gumboots instead.
  • Glass – this includes wine glasses, jars, or any other containers or items made of glass.
  • No pets allowed except guide dogs.

There will be a security check at the gate and prohibited items will be confiscated.
