204km Amy’s Ride
Starting and finishing in Torquay, the epic 204km Amy’s Ride (supported by the Amy Gillett Foundation) is for the more experienced rider. However if you are in this category, this is one ride that you will want to over and over every year. It has 90km of road closures and the rest is traffic controlled so it is very safe, but this ride takes you along the largest section of the Great Ocean Road of all distances. You will start off winding your way up to Moriac, then all the way to Forest and down to Skenes Creek. From Skenes Creek it’s just stunning scenery the whole way back to Torquay along over 80km of the Great Ocean Road. It has to be a must on every cyclists bucket list.
145km RACV Classic Ride
Starting and finishing in Torquay, the 145km ride is the original ride that has now been running for over 12 years. There are three cycling events given permission to use the Great Ocean Road each year, and of these three, this is the only event that is a recreational ride and not a race. This means that you get to do it at your own pace and soak in the breathtaking scenery along the stunning coastline of the Great Ocean Road. This ride is designed for the more experienced rider as it has some challenging hill climbs and some quick descents, but if you’re up for the challenge you will not be disappointed with this course.
60km Degani Social Ride
Starting and finishing in Torquay, the Degani 60km ride goes a little deeper into Torquay’s surrounding country side, winding it’s way up to Moriac and back to Torquay through some stunning farming land and green rolling hills. This ride is designed for the intermediate rider or one that the whole family can do together.
