Huskisson Triathlon Festival routes

Standard:

With a swim in the beautiful waters of Jervis Bay, the flat and fast bike course and stunning run course has made it a favourite among athletes. Get in fast as this race often reaches capacity.

Swim 1.5km
A two lap swim course in the protected waters of Jervis bay.

Bike 40km
The 2 lap bike leg is an out and back course that heads out west through the town of Huskisson, and onto Woollamia Road for a turn just before Jervis Bay Road. Return on the same route for a lap turn in town and then repeat!

Run 10km
The 2 lap run leg takes you south along the footpath past Huskisson Beach, crossing Moona Moona Creek bridge continuing south until the run turn point. Return on the same route, make a lap turn near transition and head out for another scenic lap.

Aquabike:

No it’s not a watercraft with really big wheels, it’s the latest event in triathlon circles to be added to the ITU Word Championships. Essentially it’s the same as the Standard distance, just without the run. It’s the swim then through transition 1 and onto the bike and finishing off when the athlete passes into transition 2.

Maybe you are suffering from an injury that requires non-impact activity, maybe you just don’t like to run or maybe you have another event on the horizon and don’t want to wear yourself out. With the addition of Aquabike to Huskisson Triathlon Festival you can now be part of the action.

Swim 1.5km
The course is a one lap open water triangular shaped swim in the crystal clear waters of Jervis Bay with a deep water start

Bike 40km
After exiting the water, athletes will run up the southern stairs from the beach turning right onto the footpath and continue to the bike compound.
Athletes will commence the Bike Course at the northern end of White Sands Park, at the official start line marked on Hawke Street. They must walk their bike within the compound and only mount at this line.

Sprint:

Sprint racing has plenty of action and excitement as you swim, bike and run yourself around some of Australia’s most stunning locations.

Swim 750m
A one lap swim course in the protected waters of Jervis Bay.

Bike 20km
The one lap bike leg is an out and back course that heads out west through the town of Huskisson, and onto Woollamia Road for a turn just before Jervis Bay Road. Return on the same route and back into town and into transition.

Run 5km
The one lap run leg takes you south along the footpath past Huskisson Beach, crossing Moona Moona Creek bridge continuing south until the run turn point. Return on the same route and into the finish chute in White Sands Park.

Super Sprint:

The Super Sprint distance is fast becoming one of our most popular distances to race. This is the “can do” triathlon. Race in a supportive atmosphere among other like minded people and become part of the thrill and excitement of triathlon racing whilst gaining the absolute joy and pride that comes with accomplishing a personal goal.

Swim 200m
A one lap swim course in the protected waters of Jervis Bay.

Bike 8kmThe one lap bike leg is an out and back course that heads out west through the town of Huskisson, and onto Woollamia Road for a turn just before near Willowford Road. Return on the same route and back into town and transition.

Run 2km
The one lap run leg takes you south along the footpath past White Sands Tourist Park and continuing south until the run turn point at Huskisson Beach Tourist Resort. Return on the same route and into the finish chute in White Sands Park.

Try A Tri:

Swim 200m
A friendly 200m distance swim that will also allow for flippers if you aren’t confident in the water.

Bike 8.0km
This is a great introductory distance to triathlon and will be suitable for any type of bike or footwear – don’t have fancy clip-ins? Do it in your joggers!

Run 2km
Run or walk, it doesn’t matter but you’re on the last leg of your first big accomplishment. Just keep going….!
