The Point to Pinnacle in Hobart is a half marathon and 10K on Sunday, 18 November 2018.

The Knight Frank Point to Pinnacle (P2P) is regarded by many as the toughest half marathon in the world, and for good reason, with just over 1270m of ascending, gradients above 10% and extreme changes in climate and weather conditions. The event is a challenge of the human spirit and allows people of all ages and abilities to be involved through our walk or run. It is now one of Tasmania's iconic events that draws many people from interstate and internationally each year. This will undoubtedly be a wonderful experience for you.

Half Marathon Point to Pinnacle

The Knight Frank Point to Pinnacle half marathon run and recreational walk starts at Wrest Point Car Park, following Sandy Bay Road, left into Byron Street and left onto Davey Street at Hotel Soho. Davey Street becomes Huon Road as it travels the route to the right turn onto Pillinger Drive and on to the pinnacle of Mount Wellington. The course is 21.1km long and just over 1,270 metres in elevation. This race is physically challenging and scenically stunning.

  • 7.00 am – 21.1km Point to Pinnacle Walk Start
  • 7:40am – Point to Pinnacle Runners Gear Buses depart for the Pinnacle + Springs Spectator buses depart
  • 7:45am – Point to Pinnacle Runners Warm up – Led by All Aerobics & Movember
  • 7:55am – Compulsory competitor brie
  • 8.00 am – 21.1km Point to Pinnacle Run Start
  • 11:40am – Point to Pinnacle official finish cut off
  • 12:40 – Event presentations
FAQs

All finishers within the time limits will receive a finishers medal and a digital finisher’s certificate.

Celebrations

For the first time in the events history, the post event presentation and celebrations will be held outdoors on the point (weather permitting), alternatively Presentations will be held in the Tasman Room as they have been previously.

A light lunch/BBQ will be provided for competitors only, which is supported by Wrest Point, Tasmanian Bakeries, Lipscombe Larder, Cascade and Hartz.

Live acoustic music will play from 11:00am. Come along, kick back and relax… You’ve Earned It!!!
