Well organized

  • Did the 10k in 2018

Was a very well organised event, but a very hot morning. I wish I had known how to prepare better for the heat. I dont normally run at that temperature so was quite affected by it.
  • Did the 10k in 2018

I thought it was a very well organised day. I loved the Army band very much! Could I suggest starting the run earlier in the morning - 6.30am - as it was a very hot day (can't help that) but as it's run in November the weather has warmed up quite a bit. Plus perhaps we came in late over the finish line but the band was packing up and most had gone so the atmosphere was gone and it was a bit of an anti-climax as I was hoping to enjoy the festivities after the race. Overall - I think we'll be back next year. :)
  • Did the 10k in 2018

Great except for the late start. 7:30am is way too late as it gets real hot. This is the second year Ive done it and I dehydrated too much after the race even though I drank heaps of water. For November it should be at least. a 6am start
  • Did the 10k in 2018

It was an incredibly hot day and I think the events start too late. I noticed very few people were still running towards the end of the 10km event and that was because of the late start in high heat.
  • Did the 10k in 2016

I absolutely loved it.Very well organized. Great atmosphere
  • Did the 5k in 2018

This was my second year, first time walker. The temps for early November are always warm, in hope next year we start the run earlier. Last year the bugle player was on the roof, I missed that this year.
  • Did the 5k in 2018

Be prepared for very hot, humid conditions.
  • Did the 10k in 2018

Well organised and a lovely course. Starting at 7.30 am to run 10km is too late. I heard of some 10km runners only completing 5km becos of the heat. Would def do it again but if it starts at 7.30 again I would only do 5km. Loved the poppy at the end but do consider a medal.
  • Did the 5k in 2018

I loved this race. I love that its a race where we can honour and remember and pay our respects to our service men and woman.
  • Did the 10k in 2018

It was a great environment and atmosphere. Bib collection was super easy. I would like the event to start earlier. It was too hot to be running at 8am.It would also be great if there was electrolyte drink option out on the course.I needed to access the first aid station at the end of my event and initially there wasn't anyone there and then they didn't have ice... this could be improved.
