All our swimming events are on Sunday 26 May 2019 so you can make the most of your weekend with friends and family.

Swim off Noosa's Main Beach in the crystal clear, calm waters of Laguna Bay. Finish just a short stroll to the famous Hastings Street for a post swim coffee or Beer

Make a splash at Swim Noosa. With four ocean swims, there is a distance to suit everyone! 3.8km, 2km, 1km & 500m.

Swim Noosa routes

Course

Four courses set in beautiful Noosa Heads, including an IRONMAN swim distance of 3.8km.

The 3.8km Swim starts on Noosa Main Beach heading to Tea Tree Bat before turning back to finish back at Noosa Main Beach. Please note this event does have a course cut off time. The last swimmer must reach the furthest turning bouy at Tea Tree Bay before 7:55am.

The 2km Swim starts in Little Cove swimming towards Tea Tree Bay before returning to Noosa Main Beach.

The 1km Swim begins in Little Cove heading out and turning towards Noosa Main Beach.

The 500m Swim runs parallel along Noosa Main Beach, finishing in front of the Noosa SLSC.

What is the minimum age to compete in Swim Noosa?

For the 3.8km Swim, participants must be 14 years of age, as of 27 May 2018
For the 2km Swim, participants must be 11 years of age, as of 27 May 2018
For the 1km Swim, participants must be 10 years of age, as of 27 May 2018
For the 500m Swim, participants must be 7 years of age, as of 27 May 2018

Can I compete run multiple Swim Noosa events?

Yes, you are able to compete in all 4 events if you wish and able to complete each race in time for the next race to begin.

Can I compete in both Swim Noosa and Runaway Noosa events?

Swim Noosa is held on Sunday 27 May while Runaway Noosa Marathon is held on Saturday 26 May 2018.
You are able to participate in both Swim Noosa and Runaway Noosa Marathon events.

What Age Category will I compete in on Race Day?

You will compete according to your age as of Race Day (26 May 2019)

Who do I contact regarding Race Photos?

FinisherPix will be taking competitor photos on race day

Are there cut off times for Swim NOOSA?

The 3.8km Swim does have a cut off times due to logistics.
The last swimmer must reach the furthest turning bouy at Tea Tree Bay before 7:55am.

Can I wear Fins in my Swim NOOSA event?

The 1km Swim has a Fin Swim category, where participants are permitted to wear fins.
The Fin Swim is not eligible for prizes.

Can I wear a wet suit in my Swim NOOSA event?

All Swim NOOSA distances will be NON-WETSUIT Swims* in 2019

Presentations
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 males and females in each age category for all events.

Prize money will also be awarded the the Top 3 male and females in the 3.8km Swim and 2km Swim. Athletes will need to complete in the Open Category to be eligible for Prize Money
