GTH+ SUPER SATURDAY' BEGAN IN 2018, BUT WHAT THE HELL IS IT?
Many people have said that they would like to have had a go at Hell of the West Triathlon but have felt not quite ready to take on the heat, the distances and the flies.
The Hell of the West Headquarters have always been about putting on inclusive events, so after putting their heads together, they came up with 'Super Saturday'. Three races brand new Hell of the West races in addition to the Hell Kids Triathlon.

The seventh running of [email protected] will be held on May 25th. [email protected] is a special race as a small donation from each registration will be made to Medicins Sans Frontiers Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in honor of Jill and Roger Guard who were enthusiastic advocates of MSF and, as we approach the fourth commemoration of the MH17 tragedy, its a good time to reflect on the struggle that still goes on in Ukraine and the tireless work that MSF do all over the world.
The Sunshine Coast Marathon is part of the 'Sunshine Coast marathon and community run festival' located on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. The festival also incorporates a half marathon, 10k run, 5k run and a 2k fun run. It is an annual event held in August and was first run in 2012. The marathon starts and ends at the 'Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving Club'. The picturesque route loops along Alexandra Headland, Mooloolaba & Maroochydore beachfront.
The Byron2Bruns Beach Run is series of two individual Fun Runs (5km + 10km) that take place on the iconic stretch of sand between Belongil Creek (just north of Byron Bay) and the Brunswick Surf Life Saving Club in Brunswick Heads, NSW.
There is a 5km race (for runners only) introduced in 2016. The race is a 2.5km out and back loop that starts and finishes at Brunswick SLSC. This is a great race for those not used to long distances on the sand.
The 10km Fun Run starts at Belongil Creek and finishes at Brunswick SLSC. Walkers and runners are both encouraged to take part in this event. FREE shuttle buses provided by BVC take runners from Brunswick Heads to the starting line at Belongil Creek. This takes all hassle away from parking and pickups as everyone's vehicles will be waiting at the finish line.
The 7 News Gold Coast Running Festival isnt just a fun run, its a fun run festival. Featuring five distinct race distances, the festival caters for everyone from the serious half marathon runner, to mums and dads who just want to get the kids out and have some family fun. Featuring the Half Marathon, 10km, 5km, 2.5km and 1Km options, there is something here for everyone.
The Gold Coast Running Festival is something fun and challenging to do as a group, its an excellent way to motivate your friends, club mates, colleagues and family members to achieve a personal challenge together.
The inaugural 7 Cairns Marathon Festival will become a must-do destination event in Australia for all running and lifestyle event enthusiasts. Located in beautiful North Queensland participants will want to increase their stay to take in the beauty of the tropics.
Event distances include the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and the 2km. Each road race will take in the best that Cairns has to offer. The event hub will become a hive of activity hosting running clubs, corporate teams and sponsors. On-course and post-race entertainment in Fogarty Park are an integral element of the participants overall event experience.
One of the most historic events on the Queensland running calendar, the Brisbane Marathon Festival has iconic resonance with the 1982 Commonwealth Games where the famed Robert de Castella was first across the line in a celebrated victory. This magnificent day embarked a running frenzy in Brisbane where the first official Brisbane Marathon was open to the public in 1992.
Celebrating our 28 years in 2019, the McDonalds Brisbane Marathon is one of the oldest and most friendly events on the Australian calendar attracting thousands of participants from over 35 countries annually. Often labeled the boutique marathon of choice, in part due to the VIP treatment all participants receive. The event celebrates fun fitness and the test of ultimate human endurance the Marathon.
