The Beach to Brother Marathon is just one of a few distances offered on the long weekend of Sunday 6th October 2019. Also on offer is a Half-Marathon, a 10km Dash, a 5km Fun Run, and a Team Relay Marathon (up to 4 persons). All of these distances are based on the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW; they start in various beautiful locations along the marathon course, and all finish atop North Brother Mountain one of the most scenic lookouts on the North Coast, located in Dooragan National Park, Laurieton.
Both the individual and team relay marathon events start at Town Beach, Port Macquarie; the half-marathon starts at Lake Cathie Beach; the 10km run/walk starts at Camden Haven Beach, and the 5km run/walk starts adjacent Laurieton Pool.
The courses have been designed to provide a similar challenge to races such as the Six-Foot Track Marathon, the Coastal Classic, and the Raffertys Resort Run. The four distances all offer a great challenge to runners/walkers of every ability. Other than the 5km run/walk, the runs all encompass beautiful beaches, coastal paths and trails, and as was named by competitors in 2016 the hill from hell at the end! The four distances on offer all provide both mental and physical challenges in amongst some of the most beautiful and scenic coastline the Mid-North Coast has to offer.
