Inaugurally staged in 2010, the Wild Horse Criterium has become one of the most popular events on the SEQ trail running calendar.
With options for walkers, runners, hikers and children, there's truly something for everyone. The event was originally conceived as the ideal stepping stone for those transitioning from road or simply starting running - an ideal introduction to trail given the varying surface underfoot, it has also developed to included much for the more adventurous.
There are three options at 'ultra' distance that start during the night. Running in the dark under headlight is a fantastic experience and, if you're thinking about dipping your toe into the ultra scene, there's no better place to start.
