Aaron Royle has made it three Noosa Triathlon wins from four starts but the Rio Olympian admitted he was literally running on empty when he hit the finish line only metres ahead of a charging Max Neumann.

With a swim starting off beautiful and calm Noosa Main Beach, a ride that takes in the scenery of the Hinterland and a run that soaks up all that Noosa has to offer - what more could you ask for? Noosa Triathlon is Australia's Favourite Finish Line Party - be part of it!

Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival is five-day event, celebrating sports, healthy lifestyles, fitness and fun. With an irresistible mix of sport and entertainment coupled with sun, sea and surf in one of Australias most popular destinations, Noosa, the event consists of various family, social and sporting activities for everyone to be a part of. The hero event on the final day of the festival is the Noosa Triathlon.

The Maitland Triathlon started in 1994 and was staged until 2011 at Morpeth in NSW. The event has played host to some very famous triathletes with Peter Robertson, Graig Alexander and Brendan Sexton, all hitting the course in its 18-year history. The event has played host to State Championships and also been local and regional competitions between local clubs, Maitland, Tomoree, Newcastle and Singleton. The event will be staged as a multiple distance event Triathlon consisting of:
Mid Distance of 2000m swim, 60km cycle, and 15km run
Standard (Olympic) of 1500 swim, 40km cycle and 10km run
Sprint Distance of 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run
