Top Virtual Events of the Week: UK

With the mass participation event schedule coming to a grinding halt due to the Coronavirus crisis, businesses and event organisers globally have been partnering with Let’s Do This to set up virtual events to keep your training on track and the community spirit high.

The Let’s Do This Virtual Events tool allows you to see a live leaderboard, and feel connected to your fellow participants with our image gallery, where you can upload your epic finisher’s photo. To keep you up to date on events, we will be releasing our Top 5 Upcoming Virtual Events each week: 

1. Virtual Craft Beer Run: 23rd – 24th May

Event Perks: Great value, themed run, prizes for top finishers’ photos, range of distances

After the runaway success of their Virtual Gin Run, Secret London Runs have turned their Craft Beer Race virtual, offering race distances between 5k and a half marathon! Sticklers for proper post-race rehydration, participants with the top 3 finisher’s photos will get a 24-pack crate from Brick Brewery in Peckham. Bonus points for working local breweries and micro-breweries into race routes!

2. F3 Race 4 – Sponsored by Beet It Sport: 23rd- 24th May

Event Perks: Finisher’s t-shirt, series, sponsored event, cycling and running events, family-friendly distances. 

A hugely successful series with great sponsors, F3 is back for another week with another awesome opportunity to win prizes from the sponsor of the week – Beet It Sport. 3. Bank Holiday Virtual 10k, 5k, and 1k Challenge: 23rd – 24th May

After the success of their Virtual Spring 10k, 5k, and 1k, Nice Work have put on another epic event, this time to mark the late spring bank holiday. With a unique 72 hour submission window, participants will have even more time to complete their race. This is perfect for casual family outings and competitive runners alike, with a range of distances available as well as prizes for lead runners and age group winners.

4. Big 5 Virtual Event Series – African Game Medal: 30th May – 28th June

Event Perks: Themed run, series, charity fundraiser, bespoke medal 

Calling all animal lovers to this animal conservation themed virtual race series. The aim of this series is to support conservation efforts in Southern Africa, and 10% of all proceeds will directly benefit Tusk, a conservation charity who amplifies progressive conservation initiatives across Africa and fights the ever present threats of poaching and habitat loss. Each week will be inspired by a different animal, and bespoke finishers’ medals will be awarded for each single stage of the VE event. Those who complete all 5 weeks of the series will receive a special medal.

5. Maverick Adidas TERREX Original Virtual Race: 6th – 7th June
