From the organiser

The stunning Jones Crisps Anglesey Half Marathon & 10km - THE most beautiful half marathon in the UK!

Both races have one of the most incredible start lines in the country - a completely closed road Menai Suspension Bridge. Flowing downhill through Menai Bridge town centre and along the winding closed roads to Beaumaris, the route is flanked by breathtaking views of the Snowdonia National Park and the Menai Straits. The route then returns to the finish line in the centre of Menai Bridge.

Providing the perfect pre-London and Conwy Marathon preparation, this beautiful undulating course with stunning scenery is perfect for an early season Personal Best.

Returning for 2019 is the hugely popular Dragons Dash junior race. 2018 saw over 300 young people from across North Wales take part in the 1 mile run which also starts on Menai Suspension bridge.

Half Marathon

The Anglesey Half Marathon takes runners across the world famous Menai Suspension Bridge, free from traffic, and follows the coast road to the awesome Beaumaris Castle, and back. The route is undulating yet quick (CR is 67:23) but most of all it is incredibly stunning.

The route is undulating yet quick but most of all it is incredibly stunning. Starting on the iconic Menai Suspension Bridge and running in front of the gorgeous Snowdonia backdrop this race is truly one of a kind.

10K

The 10k has been designed to feature everything that makes the half marathon ‘one of the world’s most beautiful races’. Runners will race on closed roads, against the backdrop of the Snowdonia National Park, through the town of Menai Bridge and out towards Beaumaris, before turning back to the finish line in the centre of Menai.

While the course is known to be undulating it is also fast and on mainly traffic-free roads, ideal for anyone looking for an early season PB.

Dragons Dash

Sole representative for Widnes Running Club - parking was easy to find & bag drop/collection quick & easy. Really pleasant route (even with the horrid weather!) & enjoyed the profile of the course. Marshals were great & race was really well organised overall. Have already recommended it to several & will definitely return in the future, 10/10!

  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Loved the event - though first mile or so the route was too cramped on narrow lane.Splitting hairs - but better to keep moving immediately after finish where drinks and oranges welcome but slowish queue
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

One of my favourite races. Well organised. The only thing I would change is to have an earlier prize giving as it's too cold to be waiting around gor a couple of hours after
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

The race is fantastic but what sets this apart is how good it is for spectators. This is one of the few races my wife will support me on because of how good the app and timing system is so she knows where I am on the course and doesnt have to spend time hanging around in the cold waiting for me to come in. Ive been given a number of other always aim higher events as gifts because of how much we both enjoyed the 2018 race.

  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

My first time taking part in this event and out of nearly 50 half marathons I think Imhave a new favourite. A wet day but a lovely course and on a clear day the views must be amazing. The atmosphere was probably a little damped by the rain so a extra big thank you to the volunteers who were out there and also the spectators providing support - much appreciated.I have already signed up for next year
