Spend 6 magical days (4 cycling days) exploring Lake Annecy and its surrounding peaks by bike on this cycling experience.
Known for its crystal clear water, Lake Annecy sits nestled among snowcapped mountains, and is surrounded by historical towns and villages that offer local fare and an opportunity to be immersed in the culture of the region.
Accommodation for this trip will be in one hotel for the entirety of the trip, and each day you will depart for a new cycling adventure either around the lake, or heading up mountains to experience epic views.
An approximate itinerary is outlined below:
Day 1: Arrive in Lake Annecy (France) and make your way to the hotel (Wednesday 29th July).
Day 2: Cycle Lake Annecy, and head for Albertville along the cycle path. (91km) (Thursday).
Day 3: Cycle Col de Leschaux (900m) and Le Semnoz (596m) (Friday) (Approx. 66km, Climbing 1496m).
Day 4: Either a gentle ride or more Climbing. (Saturday). With time to explore Annecy after.
Day 6: Cycle from Lake Annecy to Col de la Colombiere and the most fun you can have on a bike (Well on the way down anyway) (Approx. 106km, Climbing 1488m) (Sunday)
Day 7: Onward travel (Monday 3rd August).
This ride is most definitely not about speed, but about enjoying your surroundings, and making incredible new friends. There will be time for swimming in the Lake, using paddleboards, enjoying delicious evening meals and basking in striking sunsets. It promises to be an experience you will never forget.

The nearest airport is Geneva, which is only 36km from Annecy and accessible by bus from the airport. Another travel option is to take the Eurostar to Paris or Lyon, followed by a number of trains to end up in Annecy. Please check out rome2rio.com for the best travel directions.
Event day logistics
The cycle will start on the 2nd day of the trip, cycling around the Lake heading towards Albertville along the cycle path. Riders will meet on the evening of the 29th of July in Annecy at the hotel.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are at the start location for this experience, and more detailed information will be provided to you once you are registered.
