What you need to know

This is a family, pool-based triathlon with a rural bike around surrounding villages and a traffic-free run. A great intro for novices or a chance for more experienced athletes to lay down a marker!

This particularly spectator-friendly triathlon has the swim section at Bicester and Ploughley Leisure Centre with ample spectator viewing and the run section completely enclosed in Bicester Community College sports ground. The 20km bike route leaves transition at the sports field for a 2 lap circuit of Bicester and surrounding villages including Bucknell and Middleton Stoney.

Registration opens the day before the event from 5-6pm and on the morning of event from 7:30am

Registration remains open until the beginning of the final wave.

Late Entries: Entries taken from 2 weeks prior to the event will incur an additional £3 late entry charge. Last online entry 6am 2 days prior to the event


If a participant needs to withdraw from any On Your Marks Events and provided OYME receive enough notice, OYME are prepared to give back a proportion of the entry fee, providing the participant follows the withdrawals policy:
Any withdrawals must be received in writing at the event office. This may be by post or by email. Withdrawals made 6 weeks or more prior to event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, withdrawals made after this time will not be eligible for a refund as significant costs will already have been incurred for the event by the organizers. Refunds do not include any online processing fee. We will endeavor to process your refund as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee that this will be before the event takes place.No registration packs or items associated with the entry to the event will be sent to any participant who has withdrawn from the event or who does not register during the allocated time period. Claims for refunds will not be accepted after the event has taken place.

Transfer of Entry
Under no circumstances should a participants transfer their entry to another person without going through the correct procedures. This may be done by the entrant themselves online by following the link in their confirmation email, or in the form of an email to OYME but should be followed up by the entrant to ensure that the request has been received and processed. There may be a charge associated with the transfer.

Event Alteration and Cancellation
All information relating to the event will be published on the OYME website. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure they are aware of all information relating to the event. Circumstances may be such that we are unable to deliver an event in the format that was expected / advertised. OYME reserve the right to change any event without prior notice but will endeavour to provide this information on the website, email and social media channels as early as possible. In such circumstances, participants will not be eligible for any refunds, deferrals, or any other financial recompense. If the event has to be altered in any way during the event as a result of unexpected road closures, road traffic accidents, natural disasters, or for any reason whereby the emergency action procedures are enforced, refunds or free entries to future events will not be provided. If an event has to be cancelled for any reason OYME will endeavour relocate the
event or postpone and all entries will be automatically transferred to the new date. If it is not possible to postpone the event OYME will defer all entries to another specified event of a similar nature and location or to the same event the following year. Transfer of credit to another event other than specified by OYME will be at the discretion of the OYME Board of Directors. Regretfully, we will not be able to give refunds due to the costs already incurred.

Chip Timing
All events organised by OYME have chip timing. Once the chip has been issued to an entrant, it becomes the responsibility of that entrant until returned to OYME at the end of the event. Any chip that is lost will incur a charge of £35 to the entrant. OYME will use best endeavours to provide an event finish time for the participant however it cannot be held responsible for any computer result anomalies or any technical malfunctions and no refunds can be offered in such circumstances.

The Event Organisers have the absolute discretion in the award of any prizes, prize money or third party prize or award Where a prize winner fails to attend the awards ceremony prizes can not be forwarded to any prize winner post event.
Any uncollected prizes are forfeited and the prize will not be awarded. Completion of Entry Form / Online Entry
Entries missing estimated swim times for swim based events will be put together where appropriate for that particular event. In the case of competitive events, entries missing age / date of birth cannot be guaranteed any age group prizes.
Once we have received an entry, any subsequent change to individual affiliation status will not result in any refund.

Entrants Information / Photography
The entrant authorises the use of their name, voice and picture and any information provided on the event entry form to be used without payment in any broadcast, telecast, communication, promotion or advertising. The entrant also agrees that the information provided may be used by the Event Organisers for the purpose of promoting future or other events or for the promotion of the Event charity, event sponsors products and services. Any entrant information received by OYME is subject to the OYME Data Protection policy which can be found at the foot of the OYME website.

Special Offers
The organisers reserve the right to run special offers or discounts that may run for a period of time. The organizers have the right to withdraw any offer at any time for any reason. No offers will be back dated or issued to customers who may have already entered an event prior to a promotion. This is also applicable to any of our associates whether the offer is combined with On Your Marks Events, or offered solely from our event partners.

Refusal of entry
OYME maintains the right to refuse or revoke entry to any entrant entirely at their own discretion. Sever ability and Updated Versions.

Welcome to the 2018 Sandman Triathlon powered by Suunto, the third and final race in the Always Aim High 'SUUNTO Adventure Triathlon Series'.

The Sandman Triathlon race venue is incredible Newborough Forest, the start and finish set in an exclusive area within the 700ha woods adjacent to the world famous Llanddwyn Beach.

Set in the heart of Northamptonshire, the Battlefield Run starts and ends in Naseby, home of the famous Battle of Naseby wherein 1645 Oliver Cromwell defeated Charles I in the key battle of the English Civil War.

Now approaching its 8th year this family-friendly triathlon has the swim section at the new swimming pool at Brackley Leisure Centre (due to open summer 2018) with transition area immediately outside. The junior events cater for kids age 8 and up with fully enclosed traffic-free bike and run.

Adults choose a one or two lap 14 or 28km bike course and a one or two laps 2.5 or 5km run course, both taking in the beauty of Brackley and surrounding villages and countryside.
