Organizer's website

The Bridgwater Half Marathon, in aid of Cancer Research, features a Half Marathon, 10k and 5k route. Expect over 200 runners showing their support for Cancer Research UK by pounding the pavement for this event.

The 5k Fun Run is popular with families and fundraisers alike. The run is organised by Bridgwater and District Friends of Cancer Research UK and Bridgwater's own Ramblers Carnival Club.

Course Details

Half Marathon Course Information

The route for the Bridgwater Half Marathon is the same as previous years.

10K Fun Run Course Information

The route of the 10K uses the experience of the Half Marathon and follows the same course out until
the junction with Stawell Road, where it turns around and follows the same picturesque
route back to Morganian’s Rugby Club through the beautiful village of Chedzoy.

5k Fun Run Course Information

This run is open to all ages (youngsters must be accompanied by an adult). Serious runners, joggers or walkers can all enjoy this event.
Families, Teams, Groups and singles can all enjoy this run. Fancy dress is very welcome.

The route for the 5k is starting at the Morganians Rugby Club, the runners will come out of the Rugby Club and turn left following the picturesque
surroundings heading towards the village of Chedzoy, there is a small loop to follow in Chedzoy before proceeding back towards the Rugby Club.

Raceday Logistics

On the day registration opens at 9am, the run kicks off at 11am. You can park in the rugby club, just follow the stewards. Please do arrive early as we need to issue you a running number and timing chip on the day.

All Half Marathon entrants must be over the age of 17 years of ageAll 10 kilometer race entrants must be over the age of 15 years of age.

Driving and parking

Easy access from the M5 and Bridgwater.

There is also a large Car Park at the venue.

We are looking for volunteers to be part of our vital support network on race day itself as well as pre and post-race. If you are interested in joining us we would love to have you on board.

FAQs

Safety will be key and on everyone’s minds for this run, both competitors and motorists alike. With a large number of runners taking part there will be ample marshals and signs warning traffic of runners and these will be placed throughout the course.

UKA Rules state that NO HEADPHONES to be used whilst running  on live roads, we will be enforcing these rules.
