Whilst some of the field team were friendly and encouraging, the organisation was a shambles. The quality of information sent out was very poor - the postcode wasn't in Bushey park, the map had the start and finish at the opposite end of the park, not one bit of signage on the day and no information sent out before so late, chaotic registration for everyone out of the back of a car. Poor!

Great course Im a local and always enjoy running in Bushy Park but I felt the organising and running of the event on the day could have been better though I do appreciate that the weather was appalling and may have played a part in this.

A double loop race which was well marshalled but the finish timings were a bit iffy and the medals not the most inspirational but a nice one surrounded by deer and on mixed terrain.

I must say despite of slightly wet, windy weather I've enjoyed my 10k run on 3rd March. Bushy is really nice place to run, and amazingly quite a few people have turned up for the race. The course marshals were great, cheering in the rain and wind. on slight negative, I think overall organisation can be much improved. It was a light late start due to queue for number pick-up - this could have been much better organised, and at the end rushed t-shirt pick-up. there was not much in a way of exciting atmosphere. And I have not seen the results, not even sure how they will be announced. Nothing much for a very low cost entry (a bonus!) but couple of smiles and shout out at the start would have made a world of a difference.

Possibly one of the worst organised races Ive ever run. The queue to get race numbers was so long that the start time was delayed by 15 minutes. There was no clear start line everyone just bundled together until someone shouted go.There was no timing chip...how is anyone meant to know their exact time. Then at the finish line, rather than just being handed your medal as you cross the line you had to get in another queue to get one. Ridiculous Not to mention I had to search for the water which was in large flagons with a couple of cups in front of which no one was handing out.I found the organisers incredibly rude and really unhelpful. I wont be running another race with MCC again.

I am afraid this was one of the most poorly organised races I have run. To start it was advertised as chip timed and wasnt (and this is in breach of CMA guidelines were it to be taken further). Race numbers from the boot of a car, the same 1 or 2 individuals doing most of the jobs, start very unclear, even 2 of the marshals werent sure where it was. Advertised as PB potential and whilst yes it was very flat, a route which is predominantly on trails and 2 long stretches on grass cannot be classed as PB potential in my opinion, even in perfect weather. Flat is as much as should be stated.

Great course, but quite a lot of queuing in the rain to collect their numbers, and race started late. Lots of people only ran 9.9km according to Strava. Not sure if there will be any accurate results so will have to rely on my Garmin.
  • Did the 10K in 2019

Pretty terrible organisation: - Number pickup was difficult to find and was literally out of the boot of a car- Had to queue for 20 mins to get our number- My mate got given the wrong number and they had to scribble it out and write the correct number in biro- Start/finish point was marked wrongly on the website (ended up walking halfway there, then back again)- No official toiletsGreat course though, very flat and enthusiastic marshalls.

Pretty symbolic organisation. Big queues on registration, half hearted officials, questionable timing system. even an underwhelming medal. great course though
  • Did the 10K in 2019

Bushy Park is great race location however the organisation of this event was pretty poor. I was wearing a bib that had Birmingham 10k on it even though I registered about 3 months prior. The start was delayed, no one handing out water during the first lap, there were a random collection of medals (different ones for a group of 5 people) and there was no real timing of the event.... no idea what the results will show. A fun run... but you might as well just run around Bushy Park with a watch/strava (Garmin showed the course as 9.95km, whereas Strava showed 10.38km (again, not too sure of how accurate results will be). Not worth 15 - just do Park Run and then another lap.
