Carlingford Half Marathon & 10K routes

The 10K route is similar to the Half Marathon except it cuts off to make the route shorter but the finish route is the same. Water will be provided along the 10K Route. The route would not be classed as hilly, and has been officially measured. There are a few small hills along the route but nothing major!

The carlingford half marathon was a very well organised event on a beautiful course through the picturesque village and surroundings of carlingford. Mile markers where spot on and course measured correctly. The first few mile was a climb out of the village then flat with few gentle inclines to finish. It had adequate water stops and marshals and direction markings in all the right places. My favourite bit was the last few mile which had the beautiful back drop of the mourne mountains. I highly recommend this for a nice half marathon I will definitely do this one again. Chris Kelly North East Runners A.c.

As this was my first half marathon i didnt know what to expect and was pleasently suprised, it was a well organised event ,good parking and toilet facilities and there was a great buzz around the start/finish line. The course itself was beautiful taking in both mountain ranges and the seaside and after a few small hills in the first 3 miles the rest was pretty flat .The course was well stewarded and there were a few water stations along the way .All in all it was an enjoyable experience and I will be looking forward to doing it again next year.

It's the third year that I've been to Carlingford for the half marathon. Very well organised, fantastic atmosphere and unbelievable setting make it a great running event. I'll be back next year, and would highly recommend.
