  • Did the Chiltern Wonderland 50 in 2017

I ran the Chiltern Wonderland 50 in September 2017. The organisation was second to none. Race HQ in Goring village hall was transformed to check in, kit check and later finishing area. The route is a single loop stitching together the Thames, the Ridgeway trail and a number of smaller trails. There are a couple of decent climbs and some really fun wooded descents as well as long runnable sections. It was extremely well way marked with ticker tape to guide you even in the remotest areas. The aid stations were brilliant and had a fantastic wide choice of food. The volunteers were friendly and helpful. Finishing at the village hall, I really felt like I had been a part of something special. I will definitely look to run another centurion event soon.
