Parking was challenging but everything else was well organised.

Generally I like this event - having done it 3 times, I must do, but I do hope lps can sort out the results. I have written this to the results providers:
"Just been looking at the results pdf for this years CCC on your website - somewhat disappointed that you have not published these in the same format as previously. That is with both Gun time and Chip Time shown. I believe my Chip time will be about 6 seconds faster than the Gun Time shown, and I would like to have this confirmed.
It is not clear but I am assuming you have used the gun time/finishing order to determine prizes but for those of us interested in those further down the field in the age categories it is useful to see who is near us based on chip time. If you don't provide the chip times then it would seem the organisers are wasting their money and misleading the paying customer in advertising the event. I hope you can sort this out soon."

I am a fan of this great local race, in fact it’s currently my 10k PB. It’s an out and back route in the countryside which make a scenic run but there is little support. The course is mainly flat with a cheeky little hill at the turnaround point. It’s run twice a year on the Sunday after the clocks change.

This is the third time I’ve taken part in this race, which shows how much I enjoy it! Great value for money, predominantly flat course ( a slight hill at the turnaround point) with PB potential. The race isn’t chip timed though so to gain an accurate time you need to be as far front as possible.

Living about 1km from the start line, this was an ideal run to get involved with. The course is great, nice gentle climb out and a gentle downhill to the finish. The marshals were great and there was a lovely atmosphere all round. The course is also very pretty, being through the quiet villages just outside Calne. My only criticism is around traffic management. Running on live roads is fine, but I think there could have been more effort in making sure everyone was on the correct side of the road. On a few of the bends there were some ropey moments with local traffic. Couple of 'keep left' or ‘keep right’ signs would do the trick! Also could not here the race briefing. All in all though a great local run I would recommend!

Took part in this race for the first time today and have already signed up for the October race! Registration was very easy on the day, there was ample free car parking and you could use the lockers at the sports centr to store your bag. Plenty of support from the local community as well as the marshals, great quality medal and chip timing for an accurate finish.
