The Cookie Chase is Denvers race that ends with cookies. Runners and walkers can take advantage of a flat and fast course, and then enjoy fresh cookies at the finish. Our mission is to bring people together to have a fun, fit morning, all while supporting the many different needs throughout our region. All finishers will get a finishers medal, as well as top-notch chip timing, a race logo shirt and finish line expo with vendors and food and cookies!

A flat course on closed roads which should make for an accessible run option for everyone involved.

Directions

The Cookie Chase 5K will be staged from the Mount Vernon Garden at Washington Park in Denver. Washington Park is a long and rectangular park bordered by Virginia Avenue on the north, Downing Street on the west, Louisiana Avenue on the south, and Franklin Street on the east. It is one mile long by a quarter mile wide, covering 165 acres, making it one of the largest parks in Denver.

Parking

There is numerous street parking surrounding Washington Park. The largest parking lot is at South High School.

FAQs

Weather & Safety Issues
We all know that the weather in Colorado is day to day. The average low temperature in early April is 32 degrees and the average high temperature is 62 degrees. There may be snow or ice on the course, there may be rain, it may be muddy, and it may be nice. We will just have to wait and see what shows up on race day. The race will be run no matter what the weather!

Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates are not allowed in the race.
