The Half Marathon approx. 13.1 miles and has two long uphill sections followed of course by equally interesting down sections. The course takes in the best views of what the Cooley’s has to offer. As you approach Goylin Pass overlooking Carlingford Lough, you will encounter some breath-taking views

Route description

It has a variety of surfaces from forest roads to rocky sheep tracks and some surfaced minor roads, making for a challenging but very do-able off-road run. The race finishes in the village of Carlingford at the Foy Centre, where post race refreshments will be available.

Logistics and schedule

Registration at The Foy Centre, Carlingford, opposite church on Friday evening 7pm until 8pm and saturday morning from 7.45am. See you there bright and early. Get ready for the ninth running of the Cooley Legends Half Marathon taking place on Saturday, 6th April. Buses leave Carlingford at 9.15 sharp for a 10am start.

Once again this year, there will be a 10k run to coincide with the running of the half marathon. This will follow the last 10k of the half marathon route. Buses leave Carlinghford at 9.50am for a start time at 10.30am.
