Tough Runner's first event outside of the UK, this triathlon will soon be a highlight of the Irish racing calendar. With a route accessible to all, and a stunning location, all abilities will love this event.

Tough Runner was founded in 2015, and the team is on a mission to organise events with a truly unique offering. With a real passion for the industry, the Tough Runner team draws out all the best bits of mass participation sports events - the pre race buzz, epic race courses, the unforgettable finish-line feeling and, of course, amazing medals. These immense experiences are designed to test and will leave you with endorphins pumping.

Route description

Claycastle Beach is located near the town of Youghal in County Cork and is an ideal spot for walking, swimming and relaxing. Extremely popular with residents and tourists alike, Claycastle Beach is a sandy beach located within walking distance of Youghal Town in County Cork.

It is very accessible with steps and a ramp and has great facilities including toilets and a public car park.

The routes for each leg of the event are as follows:

Logistics and schedule

09:00 - 10:35 Registration and transition open

10:50 Mandatory race briefing

11:00 Race starts

15:00 Bike Cut-off

Triathlon Specific Rules

All entrants must comply with World Triathlon Rules.

Entrants must either have a race licence or one can be purchased on event day.
