Route information
Starting in Verbier, you and your team will climb 8848 metres across the Swiss Alps, stopping overnight for 3 nights at Cabane Mont Fort before finishing back in Verbier.
You will be completing a total of 40 hours of ski touring and up to 20 individual ascents over 4 days. Each day teams will be out on the snow for approximately 11 hours, climbing between 2,000 and 2,500 metres and reaching altitudes of up to 3,500 metres.
The team course is set and lead by professional guides and assistant guides.
One thing is guaranteed though, this will be an extremely picturesque course so be sure to take in those stunning mountain views.

Hotel Mont Gele, Rue de Médran 51, 1936 Bagnes, Switzerland.
This hotel the heart of Verbier. There are plenty of restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel and it is a two minute walk from the main Medran lifts. Rooms will be shared on a two, three or four person basis.
On the Mountain
Cabane Mont Fort
The rooms are a basic bunk bed style with 4-10 beds per room. There are communal showers and shared bathroom facilities. They also provide wonderful food and wine by the stunning views are the real star of this resort.
Event day logistics
Saturday and Sunday
Arrive in Geneva and transfer to the resort of Verbier and the accommodation at the centrally located Mont Gele.
Monday
Preparation day. Thorough briefing, details of plan and course and opportunity for all questions. This will be followed by a short ski tour to stretch legs and test the kit. Celebratory launch team evening meal at the hotel.
Tuesday
Day one sunrise start on the mountain. The route will vary between teams – you will be briefed daily on the next leg of the challenge. Overnight at Cabane Mont Fort.
Wednesday
Day two on the mountain. Overnight at Cabane Mont Fort.
Tuesday
Day three on the mountain. Overnight at Cabane Mont Fort.
Friday
The final day of the challenge. Finishing in Verbier with a celebratory meal and a return to Mont Gele to stay overnight.
Saturday
Team members depart for UK.

What will the weather be like when completing Everest in the Alps?
In the mountains the weather is always changeable. At this time of year the temperature will remain around freezing at resort level and drop by 6.5 degrees per 1000m gained. In the past teams have experienced temperatures of -30 due to the wind chill.
How fit do I have to be to participate in Everest in the Alps?
This challenge can be completed by anyone with a healthy and active lifestyle but they will need to train. Participants will need to skin up hill an average of 2250 vertical metres a day over 12k, ski downhill on blue and red runs, carry an 8kg pack over the course of the day and be comfortable in mountain conditions.
How old do I have to be participate in Everest in the Alps?
There is a minimum age of 18 and no maximum age limit. You must however be fit enough for this gruelling adventure.
Can I support any charity when participating in Everest in the Alps?
Yes. Everest in the Alps have a strong link with the Brain Tumor Charity but you are free to support any charity you wish.
Can I extend my stay in Switzerland after Everest in the Alps?
Yes you can and it is very common for people to meet up with family and friends for a holiday after completing this mammoth challenge.
