Route information
The course starts and finishes outside Race HQ at Bibby's Farm. The feed station is located 3.5 miles away on a trail/country road route. You then do 5 laps of 3.85 miles over Rivington Pike, with a water/food station at the end of each lap. You then return along the original 3.5 miles back to Race HQ. Every day sees you climb over 4,000 feet.
At the water/food station you will receive cake, sweets, electrolyte drinks and water from the event organisers. You will also have packed your own nutrition, which will be taken in the kit vehicle before the race starts each morning.

Car Park:
Free for Runners and their Support Crew (Spectators must pay £2.50 at Race HQ, but in return they get access to the site and all facilities)
Accommodation inside the Building is Available
  • Tent Camping: £5.50 per Person per Night
  • Caravan/Motor-home: £5.50 Per Night (There is no Electric Hook Up , Hard Standing is on the Farm Car Park Approach)
  • There are Showers and Toilets available to all Runners
  • Race HQ is Located in the Kitchen/Canteen
  • 24 hour access to showers, toilets and washing up facilities for All Campers
The nearest pub/restaurant is The Black Horse Inn, which is approximately 0.5 miles from RaceHQ.
Event day logistics
Daily Schedule:
  • 7:00am - 8:45am: you must register every day at Race HQ (new clean chip every day)
  • 8:45am: the vehicle transporting kit to the feed station departs. Make sure your kit is in the buckets by this time. Please label your drinks and bags.
  • 3pm: From this time, head torches must be worn while on the course.
Sunday 5pm (or when the last runner finishes): After race party at Race HQ
Please note that you leave any valuables/clothing/drinks at your own risk, and there is no liability for any lost property.
Since the event takes place in November in exposed terrain, there is the potential for extreme weather. In previous years, the event has seen strong winds, flooding, snow, and extremely cold weather. If as a result or for any other reason it is decided that the event needs to be cancelled, all entries will automatically go into the next time the event is held. Every day at Race HQ you will receive a weather update and report along with the results at the end of each day.

Support crew can park at Lower House Car Park (which is public and free) 3.5 miles from the start/finish/RaceHQ.
Spectators can park at RaceHQ for £2.50, which gives them full access to the site and facilities.

Yes, you absolutely can. You can book onto a single day very easily, or go the whole hog and do all 5.

Can I camp overnight at the Hell of a Hill Marathon Challenge?
Absolutely, camping is organised by Time2Run Events. You can tent camp for £5.50 per person per night. All campers have access to showers and toilets. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed in the campsite.
