Route information
Take on these challenging races this June, choosing from a half marathon or 10k distance. Set in the historic market town of Hitchin in North Hertfordshire, the event also has a new kids' race for 2024, making it the perfect day out for the whole family.
The Hitchin Half Marathon is a challenging, hilly course designed to push you to your limits. From the moment you leave the grounds of the Priory, you head out into Charlton village and then you encounter the first climb going up into Preston.
Then you will head around the local area before returning back towards Charlton and then finally back into Hitchin to finish off at the Priory. The course is hilly and undulating but does have some flat areas too, especially on the way back towards Hitchin after around 11 miles.
