Race at the most unique IRONMAN 70.3 event on the 115km² (45 sq mi) island of Saipan.
Saipan, the capital island of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific Ocean about 3 hours flight from Japan. It is one of the least known territories of the United States. With a diverse culture, year-round tropical weather, historical significance and natural beauty, it is a destination well worth discovering.
The swim will be held in the crystal clear waters of Pau Pau Beach. A coral reef 1km offshore, acts as a barrier to protect the coast from large waves and provides calm swimming conditions.
The mainly flat athlete friendly bike course is varied and interesting. Almost half of the course is set along the coast providing spectacular views, especially around the Bird Island Lookout at the northern turnaround. Heading south towards San Antonio, you will pass many villages where locals as well as tourists will be sure to cheers you on.
Transition 1 & 2 will be at the Pau Pau Beach parking area.
IRONMAN 70.3 Saipan will finish with a 21.1km run course taking athletes past many local villages.
