JACK & JILLS DOWNHILL MARATHON showcases Idahos beauty and is point-to-point. Fly down this fast course with a net drop of over 4000 and a USATF Certified course making it a FAST Boston Qualifying course. Cant fathom a full? No worries! The Half Marathon still offers a beautiful and scenic course down the last half of the full marathon. This course is a USATF Boston Qualifying course with a net drop of over 4000. We have strategically picked September 15, 2019 because if' and when you qualify for Boston on this date, you can use your qualifying time for 2 years!

Course Details

Marathon
JACK & JILL’S DOWNHILL MARATHON showcases Idaho’s beauty and is point-to-point. Fly down this fast course with a net drop of over 4000’ and a USATF Certified course making it a FAST Boston Qualifier.

Half Marathon
JACK & JILL’S DOWNHILL HALF MARATHON offers a beautiful and fast course as well. Not ready for 26.2? This half course starts out fast and finishes flat. Enjoy this fun and fast course that showcases Boise’s beauty.

Race begins at BOGUS BASIN and heads down BOGUS BASIN ROAD for 20 miles. Turn right on HILL STREET for a little more than a mile with a let turn on 28th STREET for 2.5 miles. The last 3 miles of this course will be along the Greenbelt with a finish near Ann Morrison Park, close to Payette Brewing.

RACE DAY: Sunday, September 15, 2019
6:30am - Marathon Start: Bogus Basin: 1750 N. Bogus Basin Rd., Horseshoe, ID 83629
6:30am - Half Marathon Start: 11209 N. Bogus Basin Rd., Garden City, ID 83702

This race has a 6 1/2 hour time limit. That equates to a 15 minute mile. If you do not feel you can finish the race in the allotted time you may want to refrain from registering for this event. We do understand that things can happen on the course. There will be a sweeper on the course to pick up anybody who is unable to finish. If it is a non-emergency, please note there may be a delay in getting to the finish.

Parking and Bus pick up: 913 W. River St., Boise, ID 83702
Buses pick up: 400am - 520am. Bus times will be an option when you register.

Flying to Boise? Most major airlines fly into Boise including great deals on SOUTHWEST Airlines

Boise is an easy city to fly in and out of. The finish line is at Ann Morrison Park and a short 10 minutes from the airport.

Downtown Boise is a quick 15 minute drive from the airport. There are a number of hotels to choose from that are near the finish line and bus pick up
Spectators
The Greenbelt:

The last 3 miles of the course are along the Greenbelt along the Boise River. This area is open to the public. The finish line is located in Ann Morrison Park.

Volunteers
Jack & Jill Marathon & Half Marathon weekend requires the help of many enthusiastic and hard working volunteers to make it happen. Volunteers provide key support to hundreds of participants as they reach their goal of completing a Full and Half Marathon. There are a variety of fun and exciting positions available, and no experience is necessary to volunteer. Volunteers meet people from around the country and get a unique experience of a large community event. There’s nothing better than being a volunteer on race day to have a front row seat to the event…and since we LOVE our volunteers and appreciate their donated time, EVERY VOLUNTEER RECEIVES:

FAQs
PACE TEAM:
"Beast Pacing" will provide pacers for the full marathon. In addition, we will provide pace bands to wear around your wrist. Pacers and Pace bands will range in 2:50 - 4:30 marathon times. Pace bands will be provided at the expo.

BAG DROP
Bag drop will be available before the race. You can use the race bag provided or any personal bag provided your bag cinches closed and tight. You must use the provided tear-off tag on your bib and attach it to your bag. Please do not use gear check for valuables such as your cell phone, or jewelry, as we cannot be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

MEDICAL & TOILETS ON COURSE:
Medical and EMT's will be positioned at the 13 mile mark of the marathon (start of the half marathon) and at the finish. Additional medical will be patrolling along the course in case of medical emergencies.

Portable Toilets along the course are positioned at or near most water station including the start for both the full and half marathon and the finish.
