A well-organised race with fab marshal/aid stations. A flat and fast course consisting of a short loop at the beginning and then ~17km around Lake Joondalup. If you're looking for a PB course, this is the one!

The weather caught me out. It was hotter than I expected. The course was more undulating than I expected. Those gradual inclines are really tiring. All down to experience.

Loved the race. The only hill of any size was out the way in the 2nd km, after this the course was lovely and flat with enough small undulations and turns to keep it interesting

    1) Elevation map of the course2) unable to buy a Gatorade/drink afterwards (coffee van sold coffee and coke)
