Travel

Big Bear Lake is in Southern California, located about two hours west of LA via CA-210.

You can also take the 5 Bus from San Bernadino to the lake, which takes about an hour and a half.

Volunteers

Trail Work will take place on the very trail you will run on (Pine Knot trail)! We will work in small groups and each group will head up the trail on a rolling basis after arriving. We encourage you to join a group for trail work after you complete your run. We’ll all get down and dirty until about 12PM and then head back to the picnic area for the festivities. Please invite your family and friends to sign up to help!

All trail work volunteers will get a Trails Day swag item, free lunch, free beer (if over 21!), and a raffle ticket. Open to all ages, small children must be supervised. Trail work will start at 9AM, same location as the run. Check back here or on our Facebook page – we’ll be posting the registration link soon!

We highly encourage everyone doing the Half Marathon and 5-Mile Run/Hike to participate in a little trail maintenance afterward!!

FAQs

If you joined us for our Trails Day event last year, you know you won’t want to miss out on the fun this year! We will again have a finish line festival with food, beer, and music. We will also be raffling off some super cool items donated by our generous sponsors.
