Route information
The Leicester City 5k course is a two lap route covering the paths within the boundaries of the beautiful Victoria Park.
The course is generally flat with only one gentle incline to contend with.
The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout.
Runners are reminded that the event does not have exclusive use of the park and to be aware of other park users.

Victoria Park is located very close to Leicester Railway Station and it is only a 15 minute walk from there to the park via London Road.
Victoria Park is also served by local buses and all stop only a short walk from the Race HQ. The buses that travel to Victoria Park are: 22, 22A, 22B, 31, 31A, 44, 44A, 54, 54A and 81.
Parking
There is very limited parking available on Victoria Park Road and London Road. Please be sure to arrive early to leave enough time for finding somewhere to park.
Event day logistics
19:30 5k starts
Please ensure that you arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race in order to drop your bag and warm up.
Age Requirements
Runners must be 11 and older to enter the 5k.
Race Pack
Race packs will be collected on the day from Race HQ. This is where you’ll pick up your race pack, leave your bag and can ask any last-minute questions.
Series Entry

Spectator Info
Spectators are more than welcome and should get a good view of the runners, given the lapped nature of the course.

How do I attach my timing chip for the Leicester 5k Summer Series?
Your timing chip is incorporated into your race number and should not be removed. Please place the race number on the front of your vest/shirt and not on your leg or back.
What time does the Leicester 5k Summer Series begin?
The race will begin at 19:30.
Where can I find my results after the Leicester 5k Summer Series?
Results will be posted as soon as possible after the event on Nice Work's website. An email with their time will be sent to all runners who've provided a valid and legible email address.
