Course Details

The route for the full marathon will initially be 2 out / back 2.5 mile loops to Staines Bridge, followed by 4 out / back 5.3 mile sections, to the Old Windsor Lock Check Point (turnaround point) along this scenic stretch of the River Thames path.

The course is really flat / fast and is run along the Thames Path out / back sections. As this is a national trail we would ask all runners to show courtesy to all other users of the trail as there will be a number of walkers and cyclists using this trail. The conditions are weather dependent and if it rains the Thames Path trail can get muddy on certain stretches of the trail.

Course Marking/Signage: I will be thoroughly marking the Thames Path course with fixed Hermes Running yellow / black chevron signage and yellow ribbons on this run-route.

Raceday Logistics

The registration will be at the Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club Race HQ and it will be open from 7.30am sharp. We would suggest that you were here with plenty of time to spare in order to get changed and get your baggage secured in the Skiff Club. We will have tear off Tyvek baggage tags that correspond numerically with your colour coded race numbers on the day, so please ensure that these are tagged onto your bag when you hand your bag to the baggage marshal. When you collect your race bags you will need to show your race bib number for security purposes to collect it again. We don’t accept liability for any loss of personal possessions but there will be someone in charge of the baggage. There is an on-site car park at the Runnymede Pleasure Grounds which is a short walk to Race HQ for your use, and the car parking is free for the whole day. There are plenty of car parking spaces available for all runners and spectators.
