Route information
Whichever distance you choose this is trail running at its finest: technical yet accessible; stunning yet intimate; challenging yet utterly magical. Treasure every single step.
The Beast of Batase - Marathon
Terrain Mountain, off-road, trails, and rock
Elevation c2000m
Enhance your experience by taking part in the marathon. This course will be brutal as it includes over 2000m of climbing on the trails around Batase. This run will surely be on of the hardest but most rewarding experiences on offer.
In the spirit of Impact Marathon you all are encouraged to run together, with others, and for others. This course will be two loops in order to ensure all get to run together and support each other. Take on the excitement of exploring these magnificent trails for the first time.
Mountain Ridge - Half Marathon
Terrain Trails, pavement, and road
Route Type: Loop
The Half Marathon is also a serious challenge for all participants. You will climb over 1000m, tackling some challenging trails, technical descents and a thrilling mountain ridge. This will be one loop which will have you running with those taking on the marathon. Run together and support each other.
Starter for ten - 10k
Elevation: 400m
This most popular route will have you accompanied by the Batase community. Hosting the hardest hill of them all, with 400m of climbing this run will be tough. If this is your first race it will be a true test of your strength and stamina. If you are not a runner you are welcome to hike the course. As with the half marathon, the waved starts are designed to have you run your race alongside all the other distances and finish together. It's not about how you start, it is about how you finish - this is the Impact Marathon spirit.
