Beginning in Kathmandu, this 13-day adventure is full of twists and turns and is truly unmatched. This is a fantastic introduction to higher altitude trail running, as yo will begin in the relative tropical forests, where waterfalls flow and flowers grow, and gradually climb into the mountain plains above.

Event day logistics
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
You will arrive into Kathmandu airport and be taken to the hotel. In the afternoon the group will head out on a 5-10k city run to explore the ancient city. Enjoy a lovely welcome dinner in the evening.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Optional sunrise yoga, followed by breakfast and some trail running sightseeing through Thamel District, ending up at Swayambhunath Monkey Temple. You will return to the hotel with some time to relax before your flight to Pokhara.
Day 3: Into the trails of the Himalaya
Transfer to Nayapul, where you hit the trails towards Ghandruk - approx 2.5 hours running / hiking. Enjoy an afternoon stretch in the garden with beautiful views of Annapurna South, Himculi and Annapurna III.
Day 4: The Trail to Sinuwa, via Chomrong
Trail Run to the village of Sinuwa, via Chomrong (approx. 4 - 5 hours trail run/walking). You will be spending the night in Sinuwa, where there is breathtaking views of the mountains above.
Day 5: Onwards to Himalaya
Morning stretching before a 4-5 hour trail run / hike to Himalaya village. This section of the trail is mostly uphill and routes through a jungle, so you will combine today with hiking to ensure you acclimatise appropriately.
Day 6: To MBC
This will be a hiking day to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3,700m). The hike will take around 4 hours, with outstanding mountain scenery throughout.
Day 7: MBC to Annapurna BC to Bamboo
A super early start today for a hike up to Annapurna Base Camp to enjoy sunrise. Soak up the spectacular views of the surrounding mountain amphitheatre- Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gandharva Chuli, Glacier Dom, Annapurna III, Gangapurna...the list goes on. You'll have some time to relax at Annapurna Base Camp and then you begin the downhill trail run towards the village of Bamboo (approx. 3 hours). Beers and dancing to celebrate!
Day 8: Bamboo to Landruk
Downhill trail running to the village of Landruk (approx. 3 hours on the trail). You'll stop at the hot springs to relax with lunch before arrival into the village, check-in and relax.
Day 9: Landruk to Badal Danda
An easy morning hike to ease you back into the trail, followed by a 3-5 hour hike / run to Badal Danda via the forest camp.
Day 10: Trail to Mardi Himal BC
Enjoy 3-4 hours of easy running to Mardi Himal BC. The trail route starts with an initial short, steep climb as we venture out of the forest, along a grassy ridge with epic views of Annapurna South and Macchapuchre. You will continue towards Mardi Himal Base Camp with the great ice fields and blue glaciers of the Sanctuary Wall coming into view. Check into your lodge and relax.
Day 11: Final Day to Sidding & Back to Pokhara
The last day on the trails will involve a 3-4 hour run descending into the village of Sidding via terraced fields, the torret of Mardi Khola and the friendly village of Kalimata. There will then be a group transfer back to Pokhara where you will spend. the night at the Temple Tree Lodge. Enjoy a Nepali feast to celebrate the journey.
Day 12: Return to Kathmandu
You'll have most of the day to relax in Pokhara before the afternoon transfer to the airport for the return flight to Kathmandu. Once back in Kathmandu, you will check in to your last accommodation and head out for a farewell dinner ceremony.
Day 13: Homeward Bound
Time for last-minute shopping and exploring and then a group transfer will take you to the airport for your onward flight.

Will I need a visa to take part in the Nepal: Journey to Annapurna?
All travellers to Nepal must hold a valid passport. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your expected departure from Nepal. An entry visa for Nepal is also required. It can be obtained either online or at the airport upon arrival in Nepal. If you plan to obtain it in Nepal, be sure to bring the current visa fee in cash. You will also need to bring passport photographs with you which are necessary for your visa and trekking/climbing permits.

What will the temperature be like on the Nepal: Journey to Annapurna?
Temperatures tend to be quite cool in the mornings and evenings, but heat-up at midday due to the strong, direct sunlight at high altitudes. Clear mornings with the chance of clouds developing in the afternoons. Highs in the mid 20’s to mid-teens (Celsius). It will be perfect for trail running.
