Route information
This triathlon series is set in the heart of Oakland, California and has a variety of events ranging from the traditional triathlons to niche duathlon and aqua bike races. This urban race is a fairly unique course and does a great job of capturing the spirit and culture of Oakland.
Each year teams come from far and wide to attend this event and the growing participation makes for an incredible atmosphere at the finish line.
Swim: The routes involve a swim in the Oakland Estuary, starting at the Jack London Aquatic Center. The typical current should work in your favor and give you a little momentum as you start your race.
Bike: Starts at Webster and 3rd Street and Sprint racers will complete just one lap, whilst Olympic distance participants will start at Franklin St and 3rd.
Run: The run course takes participants up the footpath towards Lake Merritt where the path now connects. There will be aid stations with refreshments every mile of the run course.
Please Note: You are required to have a valid USAT membership to take place in this event. You will be asked to present this on race day so if you do not have a current USAT membership please select the ticket that includes a one day membership.
