What you need to know

Fifty years and over 100,000 entries later, the Original Mountain Marathon continues to go from strength to strength as an icon of the UKs outdoor and running community.

The Original Mountain Marathon was created to give competitors an opportunity to test their abilities in the mountains. All within a safety net created by the most experienced event team in the UK.

50 years of the OMM: The UKs biggest mountain race has shaped the UK outdoor community for 50 years. Since 1968 the UKs greatest running legends, product creators & influential people have stood on the start line.

Teams of two receive a map with a series of checkpoints they must visit over the two days. Competitors must carry everything they need for the two days including an overnight wild camp at the end of day one. There are seven course options of varying distance and ascent to choose from.
