The start of the Swedish Swimrun season and a tribute to the origin of the sport. Ut and its surrounding islands will provide the scene for two beautiful races along magical trails and beautiful open-water swims.

Ut is where the whole Swimrun movement started and where the first drunken bet was made. It is an island in the southern part of the Stockholm archipelago almost 90 minutes from Stockholm. It is an island with a year- round population and with a great hotel, Ut Vrdshus our home away from home. In the end of May you can detect the beginning of summer, most of the years. Flowers are blooming, the grass is green and trees are coming to life after a long winter.

The island of Ut has been populated for many centuries and was a booming mining community several hundreds of years ago. Lithium was found here for the first time. The island has everything; beautiful forests, cliffs, open pasture land, big hills, rough water and very protected waters.

People call Ut the Island of Love come find out why for yourself.

As a tribute to the beginning we host a World Series race on the Sunday and a sprint on the Saturday.
