Route information
The Outlaw Half Holkham weekend hosts a range of events against the stunning backdrop of Holkham Hall in beautiful North Norfolk. There’s onsite camping and this is a great opportunity for everyone in the family to get involved and enjoy a weekend of multisport in fabulous surroundings.
Saturday will host the NEW Outlaw Gravel Sprint Holkham, a traffic free event within the estate walls as well as the return of the popular Holkham 10k. After a successful launch in 2023, the Outlaw Eat & Meet will return on Saturday evening. Held in the Lady Elizabeth Wing, with food from our favourite Outlaw Chef and a discussion with some of triathlons finest (and possibly funniest) athletes.
On Sunday, we have the ever-popular Outlaw Half Holkham, our award-winning middle distance triathlon, which passes through countryside and villages. There’s also the NEW Aquabike event which will take place alongside it - a fantastic addition to the Outlaw series for those who prefer a run-free format.
Both our triathlons offer a 2 or 3 person relay option, so you can take part with friends or family, each person doing a different leg and coming together to cross the finish line.
Outlaw Half Holkham Triathlon
1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
The swim takes place in the Lake on the Holkham Estate with a time trial format start. It is a single loop swim, which takes you to the far end of the lake and around the island before returning to the Transition area directly in front of the Hall.
The 56mile bike course takes you out of the estate onto a single lap route through the villages of north Norfolk, including a cruise past Sandringham Estate. The route is fairly described as rolling - it's not flat, however, there are no significant gradients. When you return to Holkham Estate, you will climb up to the Obelisk and take a moment to admire the view before descending back into T2.
The run begins with a return to the Obelisk as you start the first of 3 laps of the 13.1mile run, which takes you on the roads and tracks around the Holkham Estate. You'll pass the the finish line a couple of times before you can finally embrace the roar of the crowd as you head onto the orange carpet.
