Course Details

The half marathon course is predominantly flat, and undulating in parts. The majority of the course takes pace on road but please be aware that some sections are a little uneven - bear in mind you may want to consider your choice of running shoes if the course is particularly wet. There will also be plenty of on course entertainment, details of this will be posted on the organiser website when confirmed.

Water and energy drinks will be available out on the course and at the finish line.

Raceday Logistics

You'll be able to pick up your race pack on both Saturday and Saturday. The Race Village will be open on the Saturday for those who'd like to take a look around.

All runners will be issued with a colour coded race number that reflects the estimated finish time you provided to us on your entry form.

Travel

On Foot

We recommend walking as a great option to get to the race if you're local.

By Bike

There are a good number of cycle routes throughout the city ,which itself is part of the National Cycle Network.

By Bus

Information on options for travelling by bus will be available from the Nottingham City Transport website. Bear in mind that multiple road closures will be in place, potentially obstructing some routes.

By Tram

Competitors will be able to purchase a £2 event pass, and a regular service should be running. You'll be able to purchase these at ticket machines, just select the 'Event Ticket" option - your race number acts as proof of your participation, so make sure you keep this on you when travelling.

The nearest stop to the race is Meadows Embankment.

By Train

The Nottingham train station is a 15 minute walk from Victoria Embankment (roughly a mile in distance).

By Car

There are two official car parks:

Victoria Embankment (NG2 2JY): A limited amount of car parking will be available during Saturday and Sunday on part of the Recreation Ground, on a first come first served basis. This car park has no entry or exit time restrictions. However, please note that due to its proximity to the Race Village you may experience some minor delays in leaving depending on the time of day.

Nottingham Forest FC (NG2 5FJ): The car park at Nottingham Forest FC is available, costing £3 per car. Access to the Nottingham Forest car park will be via Lady Bay Bridge and Pavilion Road. Please note, this parking is only available on the Race Sunday.

Please note there is no P&R facility at Queens Drive this year.

Volunteers

If you'd like to be part of the event, but don't fancy running, then pease do consider volunteering at the event as one of the Race Makers. Various roles are needed, such as route marshal, kit tent team member, finish line staff, water station team members and more. You need to be a minimum of 16 years old to help out.

FAQs

Will there be a bag drop?

Yes, you'll be able to leave your baggage at the drop in the race village. You'll find a separate label in your race pack that you can use to mark your bag. We recommend you do not leave valuables in your bag, as it is left at your own risk.

Can I bring my dog to the race?

Yes, but please keep it on a lead for safety reasons.
