ON THE DAY

REGISTRATION

At this stage please be prepared to collect your race number from the event village at Flockhart Reserve Park in the morning between 10am and 11:30am. It is approximately a 300m walk to the start line from there.

If any details regarding this change we will inform all of the entrants in the race pack 2 weeks prior to the event.

THE START

5k – Start from the bottom of Walmer Street at 12:00pm (MIDDAY)

2k – Start from the bottom of Walmer Street at 12:25pm

10k – Start from the bottom of Walmer Street at 12:30pm

Please note it is not at the same location as the registration and finish area. The start is at the bottom of Walmer Street in Kew. Don’t be alarmed its an easy 300m walk to get there going back along the course so you wont get lost.

The start are has a very limited set up for just the start. There is no specific event water or toilets available. There is a public water bubbler at the start area.

THE BAR & FINISH AREA

Moon Dog Brewery will be setting up a fully functional bar so that at the end of your event you and your friends can responsibly celebrate your achievements. Live entertainment is to be provided during the afternoon and some of Melbourne’s best food trucks will be on hand to help you re-fuel. In short there is going to be a great atmosphere for the afternoon.

At the finsih area you will find the event registration tent, event informatoin tent, bag drop tent, Moon Dog Craft Brewery Bar and Food vendors. Water will be available for all participants at the completion of thier run.

Toilets will be available in this area.

Travel

GETTING THERE

It is strongly encouraged that people use public transport to get to this event. I mean it does make sense to not have a car at an event that finishes with Moon Dog Brewery, live music and entertainment.

By tram Flockhart St is just a short walk from the Lesley street tram stops on both the No.12 and No.109 Tram routes.

By train the closest station is the North Richmond station on Victoira Street. From here you can either walk for approx. 15mins or take the No.12 or No.109 tram to Lesley street. For more information and timetables see the yarra trams and metro trains websites

CARPARKING

There is very limited parking in the surrounding streets. There is however 2000 car spaces at Victoria Gardens shopping center which is less than a 5min walk to to the event site.

Kit List

Your most comfortable running gear and, of course, any leads or harnesses if you would like your dog to come with you!

Race Rules

Apart from following the course and starting after we say go this is going to be a pretty simple affair. If you are in either of the ‘run with your dog’ categories you will need to have your dog on a lead at all times and ensure your dog is socially adjusted to large groups of people.
