Apsoultly brilliant day, very well organised and professional. Track was fun to run and thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait for the next one

Amazing day, everyone was lovely and helpful. My only concern was the registration desks needed sign posting to let people know where they were, similar to the toilets as the toilets were very well sign posted.

Very well organised, incredibly quick registration, well marshalled and a generous goody bag. Fantastic parking which is a blessing as it doesn't seem too easy to get to by public transport. Nice idea for a course with plenty of room for faster runners to overtake. The hills are a bit of a killer.Kudos to whoever planted the super mushroom sign. That little guy got me through a couple of rough moments. The atmosphere drops off a little towards the middle of the course but in all fairness, there's a LOT of space to fill and there was plenty of encouragement on the harder sections.Overall, a really positive first half marathon for a reasonable price. Thanks for hosting it.

Different running venue, Im used to running on the road, but apart from the hills was an enjoyable experience. Id gladly run here again.

Great course. Well marked out. Great marshalls. A couple of small but steepish hills. Great place to throw down a new PB. Possibly worth the organisers looking at getting some Pacers in for the event?

Hi, the race was really well organised easy to pick up my race pack with chip and baggage I'd, for dropping off my belongings. Had a fun group warm up as the rain made it a bit chilly before we set off.The track at Oulton Park was fantastic to run on, really smooth with a few inclines and downhill sections. I highly recommend this race, I pretty much hit my pb time. Also when I ran over the line my name was announced which was ace! Loads of photos uploaded afterwards and my time avaiable on the website. I'll definitely be signing up for this next year!

Marked down on atmosphere because the weather put a damp squib on things - no fault of the organisers. However, there could have been better facilities to accommodate any inclement weather - such as the constant rain that we had through the event. This spills over into my mark for organisation as there might have been a warm and dry place for runners and spectators to gather before, during and after the event(s). The fact that there were a few events all starting at different times meant that there could have been a constant buzz. However, as there was only one outdoor coffee van and a few pit garage exposed shelters, most runners took refuge in their cars until it was time to run, and then got out of there straight after. Again, a function of the weather (and would have perhaps been v different if the event was a week prior); but this is NW England in February. With regards the course, I quite enjoyed doing the laps of the track. However, the mile markers were completely useless. There were three (mile) races running simultaneously: the marathon, the 20m and the half-marathon. They all started and finished at the same place, all running multiple laps. I would therefore run past a marker stating '18 miles to go', immediately followed by one stating '2 miles to go'. Both signs were in the same colour and the same font, with neither indicating how many laps round the track it applied to or indeed which race! Might I suggest an improvement would be to have these markers colour-coded for each race with a lap number also shown to give a clear idea of where one was up to? You could similarly colour-code the race number backgrounds to help runners understand who is in their race, as this can also help with pacing.Hopefully you find this constructive. I would definitely run it again with these few tweaks taken on board.

I thought the whole event was organised really well and everyone did a great job. In terms of feedback it would be good to have more signage pointing out the event village (I could only see 1 sign) in the car park area. Once in the village everything was well organised. In addition I thought it might be useful to have a sign saying where to queue up / be for the beginning of the race. Also, in terms of signage on the track perhaps there could be different colours depending on what event you were doing?I appreciate this event isn't the easiest to get to but for those using public transport maybe some tips on the best way to get there?
