Welcome to the San Jose Trail Run. Pacific Coast Trail Runs is proud to share another combination of parks: Calero County Park, Rancho San Vincente & Rancho Canada Del Oro. This is part of our continued effort to share new trail running experiences with our community. We picked March so that you can enjoy the glorious colors of green and early spring bloom. You can be assured that temperatures will be perfect for trail running. The event is located in the South San Jose region near Quicksilver County Park and adjoining Calero Reservoir. Enjoy rolling hills with valley views and plenty of single-track trail running.

Course Details
The 50K course will head out on the 20K loop first. This is the hardest part of the course and you will appreciate the easier 30K loop shall you make the cut-off. You will have a steep climb in your first mile before strolling towards Rancho Cañada Del Oro (RCDO). After one more huge climb, you will love the single-track trail bringing you to your aid station. Here you will now run in RCDO and once again enjoy a steep but beautiful climb atop Bald Peaks Trail. After you loop around back to the finish you will now head out for the 30K stroll, ok not that easy, but plenty enjoyable and only one steep climb remains between you and the finish line. You will get to enjoy the new addition to the Calero County Park, Rancho San Vicente and its relatively flat loop around Lisa's Lookout.

The 30K course is not as vertically challenging as the 20K, so you will be tested in how much you can turn those legs over. We send you along the Calero Reservoir and out to Rancho San Vicente for a gorgeous run. You will have plenty of aid stations and volunteers to keep you focused and energized.

Congratulations, you like more vertical in your running or hiking. You will get to enjoy Calero Park and the secret gem of Rancho Cañada Del Oro. You will get three steep climbs on your way out and two on your way back. Have fun on these wonderfully challenging trails.

This is a great beginner trail run with a steep hiking section. The beginning two miles is all runnable before you start your climb. Once to the top you will enjoy the run down to the aid station. Here you will replenish and get ready to head back for a glorious finish.
