Downhill: Sea Otter Downhill is a race against the clock in which the rider negotiates a succession of fast and technical passages, usually within 2-3 minutes.

Dual Slalom: The 100% Dual Slalom includes massive berms, tricky off-cambers, jumps, and rhythm sections to challenge riders and thrill spectators.

Enduro: Enduro is a form of racing with timed downhill sections of trail and a number of untimed uphill transfer stages that might have time limits to complete. Four timed stages take full advantage of the unique terrain of the Fort Ord National Monument

Road Race: Road Races will start off-venue on Barloy Canyon Road and continue down to a new Fort Ord race loop. After completing the required laps of the loop for your category, you will climb back up Barloy Canyon Road, to its crest, for a mountaintop finish.

Circuit Race: The Circuit Race starts at the Sea Otter Classic Bridge and utilizes the world famous Laguna Seca Recreation Area.

Criterium Race: The Criterium Race starts at the Raceway’s Start/Finish Bridge and utilizes the world famous Laguna Seca Recreation Area.

eMTB Race: The BULLS eMTB Race ePowered by Bosch is a race held over an undulating circuit – using part of the famous Laguna Seca Recreation Area, rocky paths, and obstacles. Pro racers must complete 5 laps, all other categories must complete 3 laps or a maximum of 80 minutes.

Parking

Special parking for Subaru owners! Drive to Sea Otter in your Subaru and get priority parking in the paddock area on a first-come, first-served basis. This provides you with easy access to the Expo area as a special Thank You for Subaru owners at Sea Otter.

A busload of friends? Buses are welcome at Sea Otter. They will be directed to the larger paddock parking area, where space will be made available for them.

All general parking is on Wolf Hill, which is clearly marked on the Festival Map. No camping is allowed at Wolf Hill General Parking.

Athletes’ tip: In a rush to race, or get started on your Gran Fondo ride? Park on Wolf Hill. From there, the parking attendants can quickly direct you to Athlete Registration, which is in the Red Bull Energy Center. Beyond that, allow thirty minutes to get off the highway, park your vehicle, and bike/walk to Athlete Registration.

Think riding with someone who’s headed to one of the restricted parking areas, instead of general parking at Wolf Hill, will get you to Athlete Registration faster? Nope. Wolf Hill is closer to Athlete Registration than, for example, Expo parking.

That’s why so many signs from Wolf Hill Parking point to places people need to go, many of which are located in the Red Bull Energy Center AKA Athlete Registration building. To get there, follow the signs along the clearly marked pedestrian pathway that heads down the hill.

ADA accessible parking is available on Wolf Hill, next to athlete registration, in the Paddock Parking lot, and at the festival entrance to Turn 5. Let the parking attendants know that you will need ADA accessible parking and they can assist you with finding a parking spot. ADA placard must be displayed to use this parking.
