What you need to know

Open your season with this stunning sportive. The Black Legend is the tale of forbidden love, passion and murder, played out on top of the highest and most sacred hill on the Wiltshire Berkshire border and the Black Legend Sportive will take you up this very same hill. Set in the beautiful countryside of the Berkshire, Lambourn and Marlborough Downs, the three well designed, anti-clockwise routes, roll along quiet country lanes passing through picturesque country villages. Each of the three courses starts and finishes at the John OGaunt School in Hungerford.

Also known as "The Hell of The North", it is the biggest 1 day race in professional cycling and you can test yourself over the same course 24 hours before the Pros. One of the easiest races to get to for UK riders, it is also one of the hardest to ride. The cobbles have to be experienced since words will never do them justice. We can ensure you are as prepared as possible. Basing you in Roubaix is ideal for soaking up race weekend atmosphere and seeing the Race.

The Tour of Flanders or Ronde van Vlaanderen, Belguim. Probably the biggest Sportive on the calendar.

Tour of Flanders had its 101st edition in 2017. Today it is one of the five Monuments of cycling and one of the two major cobbled classics along with ParisRoubaix. This race stops Belgium. Fabian Cancellara won in 2014 and 85.7% of the population of the country watched his victory either live or on television!

The Tour of Flanders weekend will offer you the opportunity to ride in the amateur event "We Ride Flanders" 16000 riders tackle the course before watching the Pros on Sunday. Flanders is famous for featuring short, sharp climbs with cobbled sections.

Ride with former Welsh Rugby Union star Shane Williams MBE at this last club, Amman Utd RFC. It just so happens to be an ideal starting location to explore the surrounding countryside of Carmarthenshire by bike. And what a countryside it is; the roads, hills and vistas are among some of the best cycling routes in the UK.

You will go over the impressive Black Mountain, through the Brecon Beacons National park, ride through the centre of the historic Welsh market towns of Llandovery and Brecon as well as the numerous picturesque valley villages and hamlets and mountain passes along the way. All with a mixture of decent climbs, technical downhills and nice long flat stretches. The two course are challenging but also achievable for all and with the timing of the event being mid October its ideal for one last ride of the season, or a social gathering after a hard season of competing or even a personal challenge to build up to throughout the year. There's something for everyone.

A lovely point-to-point race from Cowley Recreation Ground, Uxbridge, along the Grand Union Canal to Cassiobury Park, Watford. A flat, scenic, unusual, multi-terrain course, traffic-free apart from one minor road crossing near the start.
