From the organiser

Back for the 4th year in the Cotswold Hills, Britains first and biggest AONB, as well as the most quintessentially English place weve ever seen! Leaving from the grand Sudeley Castle in the heart of the Cotswold Hills and set in 1200 acres of estate land, this wont be a walk in the park. Sitting nicely down in the bottom of a valley, the only way is up. Itll be worth it though as the surrounding area is everything youd expect to see from rural middle England. With technical single track, wooded trails and some locally famous national routes on the Cotswold Way, Gloucestershire Way and the Winchcombe Way. The course wont allow you to switch off for a second, but youll be thankful for that as itll allow you to take in your surroundings which you wont want to miss.

Why not bring the family to take a wander around the beautiful Castle and Gardens. Sudeley is the only privately owned castle in England to have a queen buried in the garden Katherine Parr, 6th wife of Henry VIII.

ABOUT MAVERICK RACE

Here at Maverick Race we’re all about celebrating the beauty of the British countryside. That’s why we’ve chosen some of the most iconic areas that Blighty has to offer for our trail running series. We’re not elitist though which is why we’ve made them accessible to runners of all levels. With multiple route lengths to choose from in every location, you decide on the challenge!

Our main objective is to get people off the roads and enjoying being outside in the countryside. We just love to run and we hope you will too after experiencing life on the trails. Having experienced many types of events, from 5km club runs through to Ultra Marathons and Ironman Triathlons, we're dedicated to understanding what’s important to you – the runners.
