From the organiser

The individual event will hold six categories Senior Male, Senior Female, Veteran Male, Veteran Female, Male over 50 and Female over 50.

The UTPD is a tough event which covers some of the most beautiful and challenging scenery in the UK. At around 60 miles the route takes in some of the finest trails and climbs in the Peak District. The route has roughly 3222 metres of ascent and whilst there are no monster climbs the continued hilly nature of the course earmarks this race as a tough one to complete.

Please note that the UTPD is a qualifying race (4 points) for the Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc

Course Details

The route has been chosen because of its stunning scenery and the tough nature of the trails. Whilst most of the route is on good tracks and Public Rights of Way it also crosses some inhospitable terrain. Please note that the drop out rate from this race is high, please ensure you prepare well.

Whilst developing the race we have worked closely with local landowners and the Peak District National Park Authority to ensure that the race is sustainable and avoids sensitive areas. For this reason there are some strict route restrictions in place on some areas of the race. Please follow these wherever indicated.

The route will be partially marked but navigation will be necessary. Sport ident dibbing stations will be in place along the route – each of these must be visited (along with aid stations).
